Data Confidentiality
Last updated: 3 July 2026 · Version 1.0
This page explains how Aerolog handles and safeguards your logbook data. It is maintained by Aerolog to answer common questions about data protection.
What data we handle
- Flight logs: dates, routes, block times, aircraft types, registrations, night time, IFR time, and remarks you enter.
- Roster imports: iCal feed data you connect so Aerolog can stage pending flights for your review.
- Account data: email address, encrypted password hash, and app preferences.
How we protect your data
- All data is sent over encrypted connections (TLS/HTTPS) between the app and our servers.
- Flight records are stored in a secure database with access restricted to authenticated users.
- Passwords are never stored in plain text; only hashed values are kept.
- We do not sell, rent, or share your logbook data with advertisers or third-party marketers.
Access and sharing
You are the owner of your logbook data. Only you and the small Aerolog support team can access your account information when you explicitly request help. We do not access flight records unless you initiate a support request and provide consent for us to look into the specific issue.
Retention and deletion
Your data is kept for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account from Settings → Account, or email Support@aerolog.app with a deletion request, we permanently remove your logbook, roster subscriptions, and profile from our systems within 30 days.
